Process Engineer – medical implant, metal finishing, assembly, Florida

A growing division of a large corporation continue to hire and invest in new technology. This division produces orthopedic implants and surgical instruments. This is an ultra clean and modern facility with state of the art equipment and processes. Our client is enjoying years of growth and increased market share. We are searching for degreed Process or Manufacturing Engineers with metal finishing or assembly experience. Our client is searching for high energy analytical engineers with strong technical writing and process development skills. The Process Engineer will focus on non-typical processes. These processes will include metal finishing, cleaning, deburring, polishing, tumbling, blasting, ultra sonic cleaning, laser marking, laser welding, assembly and passivation. No interested candidate will have all the process experience. Our client will train and develop associates in some of these metal finishing processes. They will consider degreed candidates coming from commercial, automotive, aerospace or medical device industries. The Process Engineer will develop processes to achieve proper surface finish and dimensional requirement. This position will develop process controls, work instructions, research and conduct process trials. Experience on how cleaning, deburring and blasting materials effect finish and dimensions is a plus. The Process Engineer will work with vendors to develop and specify optimum finishing processes. Some experience with assembly processes is preferred but not required. This is a great opportunity to gain medical device, FDA and metal finishing processes.

MUST HAVE: a 4 year technical degree, 5 years of process development, strong analytical, technical writing, communication, problem solving and process development skills. Some experience with a few of the following processes is needed: deburring, blasting, electro-polishing, acid etching, ultra-sonic cleaning, tumbling, laser marking, laser welding and/or assembly.
