Selway Corporation is an AISC certified steel fabrication facility located in Western Montana, approximately 30 miles south of Missoula, Montana, in the community of Stevensville. We employ over 100 people in the fabrication shops and the office. Our company has been here for more than 35 years and we have gone through several expansions and continue to grow. The main purpose of the position is to oversee the QA/QC department. The QA/QC manager is responsible for auditing and improving quality procedures, processes, and training. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and Director of Operations.

•Certified Welding Inspector, NDE Level III
•Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacturing process
•Upkeep of weld qualification, calibrated equipment, and inspector qualification records
•Oversees and responsible for AISC, CWB, and internal audits
•Achieve QA/QC records
•Maintain and updates QA/QC, ASTM, and quality control standards
•Maintains and updates company’s Quality Control Manual and Standard Operating Procedure Manual
•Directly supervises 3-4 quality control inspectors; ensure compliance with NDE procedures
•Review of PO’s as material is received and daily inspection reports
•Responsible of QC department time cards and absent reports
•Establishes and maintains a Preferred Vendors List with the purchasing department
•Ensures conformance with customer’s specifications, including any required reports and inspection procedures
•Assure compliance with AWS D1.1, D1.5, and any other Industry Standards/Codes as needed
•Able to write and create WPS, PQRs, WPQ’s for AWS D1.1, ASME, and CWB
•Experience with AISC and ASME; CWB experience a plus
•Read and interpret blueprints
•Improves and updates companies written practices
•Be proficient in Microsoft Office; able to write detailed inspection reports and maintain an organized filing system
•Follows all company rules and safety policies
•Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
•Contributes to a strong teamwork environment
