POSITION SUMMARY
This position is extremely hands-on, and performs routine daily work assignments associated with program implementation, training, ultrasonic testing product testing, ultrasonic test equipment maintenance, equipment research and development testing, and assists with equipment manufacturing. The individual must maintain an active ASNT III UT certification or at least 5 years Level II UT experience with demonstrated project leadership abilities. This position may require periods of physical demand and the employee must be willing to work with and around hazardous materials.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

The position’s primary responsibilities include:

— Perform routine daily work assignments associated with program implementation.
— Conduct training classes for customers and in-house personnel, as required.
— Complete ultrasonic testing of manufactured systems prior to shipment.
— Perform maintenance of in-house and customer owned ultrasonic testing systems, as needed.
— Assist with research and development testing of ultrasonic test systems.
— Assists with UT systems and equipment manufacturing, as needed.
— Executes daily work assignments in accordance with established priorities and orders and assures own work is accurate and correct and meets regulatory and existing procedure requirements and management’s expectations.
— Conducts equipment troubleshooting and minor maintenance and routine inspection of operating equipment to fix or determine the need for additional equipment repairs or replacement, as needed.
— Maintains work areas clean and organized in accordance with 5-S concepts.
— Ability and willingness to work extended hours and weekends, as necessary.
Skills:
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The following technical key skills are needed:

— Aptitude to operate, troubleshoot and maintain electro-mechanical ultrasonic test systems


— Experience using Microsoft Office Suite products such as Outlook, Excel, Work, Power Point and Access. Any additional software applications would be a plus (SolidWorks, Matlab, Teamviewer, etc.)
— Demonstrated ability to multi-task, and work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
— Certified ASNT SNT-TC-1a Level II or ASNT Level III UT.
— Previous experience (>2 years) and knowledge and experience working in industrial or manufacturing operations preferred.
— Must be able to read policies and procedures, follow, perform and author those work operations, as applicable.
— Complete company administered classroom instruction and satisfactory pass written and practical demonstration exams within 6 months of hire, as necessary.

Education Requirements

B.S. in a technical field preferred. Requires a minimum of a 2 year technical degree.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Work requires the ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This position requires the ability to sit, stand and walk unassisted. Requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to talk or hear. Normal correctable vision is required.

Factory and office settings subject to interruptions, moderate noise and other normal environmental conditions. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Works under routine deadlines and work volume requirements. Normal work hours scheduled by supervisor and may vary on occasion. Requires the ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
