Facility NDE Level II Entry Level on the Alaskan North Slope

We are currently accepting resumes for a Facility NDE Level II Entry Level:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Facility NDE Level II Entry Level will be performing UT inspection of areas identified by the clients Facility Inspection Plan.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

• Perform required NDE of inspections areas as directed by the Mistras Inspector or Mistras Crew Lead.
• Assist Mistras Inspector with identification and layout of inspection locations in accordance with written procedures.
• Document inspection findings appropriately for the given method.
• Create UT Sketches for documenting locations and inspection results and submit to Mistras Inspector.
• Complete assigned inspections in a timely manner to ensure compliance with schedule.
• Immediately report equipment malfunctions/damage to supervisor and/or MTE.
• Perform all duties in accordance with applicable Mistras and BP safety requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• NDE Level II Certification in UTT (Longitudinal Wave w/Scope, 80hrs Classroom and 840+ documented OJT hrs.)
• Assistant Radiographer in Radiation Safety Program. (40hr Radiation Safety Training)
• Preference given to those holding an API 570 certification, RT I certification, MT II certification, PT II certification, rope access certification.
• Able to secure homeland security clearance for Trustworthy and Reliable (T&R).
• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel.
• Must be a self-starter, with strong work ethic.
• Valid Driver’s license

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.

We are seeking candidates that are willing to make a minimum 1-2 year commitment. This is a FULLTIME position with benefits. We are not seeking short term contractors. You are responsible for travel costs to and from Anchorage or Fairbanks, AK.
