Creative Human Resources Concepts, LLC (CHRC) is currently recruiting for direct hire position for a client located in the Midwest within the energy, telecommunications and oil & gas industry.

DIRECTOR, QUALITY CONTROL

JOB DESCRIPTION: The scope of the Director, Quality Control is to drive Quality Management System across the organization to maximize strategic value of the Quality Department and ensure continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drive Quality Management System by supporting local operation and conducting monthly audits
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiative on the QMS by conducting Root Cause Analysis
• Analyze and Drive Root Cause Analysis through corrective action (Rework, Scrap, Non Conformance)
• Drive Ownership of Cost of Poor Quality by executing on actions through Root Cause Analysis to continually improve.
• Continuously improve procedures and practices
• Lead Warranty Response and IR Process
• Executive Reporting to Senior Staff
• Maintain an environment of continuous improvement. Continually evaluate & monitor the changing business environment and change current processes as necessary to effectively service the customer.
• Work closely with all departments to improve internal communications.
• Team work within the department and with other groups
Skills:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of successful quality management in steel fabrication, floor manufacturing / fab shop experience required with field issue resolution experience
• Certified Weld Inspector required
• AWS D1.1 experience required
• Prior experience in the Tower and Pole industry highly preferred.
• QMS certification involvement with ISO or AISC Audit required
• Strong Utility/Steel industry experience
• Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, problem solving abilities and document control knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with and lead others effectively as well as working independently on specific projects
• Strong general office tools skills, i.e. MS Project, MS Outlook, EXCEL and EPICOR preferred
• Sensitivity to the nuances of cultural differences and the ability to help others with those differences.
• Ability to plan, organize, and co-ordinate resources to ensure projects are completed in an efficient manner
• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize competing priorities
