This position will assume all responsibility for Administration, Planning, Execution, Quality, Operations, and Safety matters relating to QM NDE activities by the Contracting Company within the Refinery and wherever these actives are undertaken. This position will require taking a proactive approach in seeking and receiving NDE requirements for routine and shutdown work. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Personnel: Supervision of NDE Technicians and NDE Coordinators as directed for routine and shutdown work. This position will be required to assume the duties of the Routine NDE Coordinator and NDE Planner/Estimator to meet business needs.
Operations: Supervise all NDE & associated Operations in accordance with current Standards & Procedures.
Safety: Supervise and control all Safety matters in accordance with Standards & Procedures.
Quality: Effectively supervise all Quality related activities associated with the execution of the work scope in accordance with current Standards & Procedures.
Education: Minimum of 2 year Technical Degree preferred.
Technical: SNT-TC-1A, Level 2 qualification in a minimum of three methods with formal qualification at an advanced level in one. Demonstrate a sound understanding of NDE techniques applicable to Condition Monitoring and Integrity Management including Corrosion.
Professional Membership: Membership of an appropriate Society is preferred.
Experience: The position holder shall effectively demonstrate a career history commensurate with the position, including as a minimum:
• Minimum 5 years in the Petrochemical & Refinining Industry, two of which would be in a Supervisory function.
• Effective planning of NDE resources for major shutdowns.
• Effective supervision and control of NDE activities during Shutdowns.
• Effectively demonstrate relevant experience in Reporting Skills.
• Effectively demonstrate relevant experience in Technical Procedure Writing.
Equipment: Effectively demonstrate a sound knowledge of the equipment including the management and control of the calibration, maintenance and repair of same. Have specific knowledge of the reporting systems associated with these activities to include auto computer downloading of CM data from data loggers.
