A successful tier one supplier continues to grow and
expand. Due to increased profits and sales, they are
purchasing several million dollars of new capital
equipment. This corporation recently purchased another
plant in Michigan. The company has a world class team of
valued employees at all levels. They have many employees
with 15 plus years with the company. The company has a

We are searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to support
their state of the art machining and manufacturing
facility. This Manufacturing Engineer will play a major
role as the company expands. Candidates will need strong
machining skills in a high volume environment. Knowledge
of machine tools such as CNC turning, CNC milling,
grinding and metal finishing operations is needed. Past
experience working with machine tool, cutting tool and
work holding vendors is a must. The Manufacturing
Engineer will approve external and internal machines to
run offs, manage machine installations and bring new
processes on line. Previous experience leading major
projects implementing new equipment, processes and
launching new products is required. Knowledge of
calculating run at rates, feeds & speeds, and material
usage. Experience conducting CPK and capability studies
is needed. The ideal candidate will have experience of
automation between processes such as conveyors, material
handling, loading, unloading, vision systems and high
speed automated inspection systems. Strong machine tool
troubleshooting and debugging skills is needed.
Knowledge of CNC and PLC code is a plus but not required.
Candidates who purchased, installed, debugged and trained
operators on new equipment is needed. This would be an
ideal position for candidates that implemented new
machining equipment or worked as a n applications
engineer for a machine tool distributor. The
Manufacturing Engineer will need experience with APQP
requirements and launching new components. Strong
documentation and communication skills are a must. The
Manufacturing will assist and lead others preparing
PFEMA’s, PPAP‘s, flow diagrams, control plans and work
instructions.

MUST HAVE: 7 plus years of manufacturing engineering
experience in a high volume CNC machining automotive
environment. Experience implementing, approving,
managing the installation of equipment. Debugging and
training others is needed. Knowledge of APQP criteria is
a huge plus.
