My client is a leader in the Aerospace Industry in
Fairfield, CA. They are looking to add multiple x-ray
technicians to their team.

The X-Ray Technician Level 2 conducts X-Ray inspections
to approved standards on products and documents any
observations. The X-Ray Technician Level 2 will set up
and radiograph parts utilizing film processing and
digital X-Ray equipment. The X-Ray Technician Level 2
will also process radiographs and interpret film per
company and customer requirements. Any products
identified through the inspection process to be
nonconforming will be documented by initiating a
nonconformance report while technically describing the
areas of concern. The X-Ray Technician Level 2 will
support customers and government representatives during
radiograph inspections.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Set up and radiograph products per approved standards.
• Process film for radiographs and interpret film per
acceptance test procedures, and customer requirements.
• Develop new techniques for radiography and submit to
Level 3 for approval.
• Document characteristics of products accurately and
with technical detail.
• Initiate nonconforming reports for any products that do
not conform to written work instructions.
• Perform accurate and detailed complex X-ray setups and
shooting without supervision.
• Establish professionalism and timeliness in the
performance of daily activities.
• Apply quality assurance procedures and requirements to
the inspection of hardware and document review.
• Identify any potential quality issues early and prevent
their occurrence.
• Communicate effectively to other personnel any quality
issues needing resolutions.
• Indicate status of products within the MRP system.
• Present radiographs to our customers for source
inspections, as required. Assure all documents are
accurate prior to the presentation.
• Work multiple assignments concurrently and maintaining
flexibility to production schedule.
• Monitor the use of calibrated measuring instruments.
Skills:
Education Required:
• Level 2 Radiography certification per NAS410 or
adequate training hours to acquire Level 2 Radiography
certification

Experience Required:
• The ability to work safely within an energetic
materials manufacturing facility
• The ability to effectively communicate quality status
and concerns to other personnel
• The ability to promote team spirit within the company
and to provide a leadership role in the area of
cooperation with all internal and external customers
• The ability to concentrate on assigned tasks despite
interruptions
• The ability to review documents and to identify and
resolve any errors or missing information
