1. Read and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications,
standards, and planning documents to determine the
methods and sequence of operations for NDT inspection of
metallic and nonmetallic composite parts and assemblies.
To be considered all candidates for this position must
meet the minimum education and experience requirements
found in NAS 410 (Revision 4) for certification to Level
2 in Ultrasonic Inspection. Nominal proficiency in
Microsoft Office applications is required.
2. The primary job responsibility for this position is
Ultrasonic inspection, and will require a previously held
Level 2 certification, or the hours required to qualify
for certification to a Level 2 in Ultrasonic testing.
3. Ultrasonic inspectors will primarily set up and
operate automated ultrasonic equipment for the inspection
of the internal structure of metallic and nonmetallic
composite bonded parts and assemblies. After automated
testing they will be required to interpret the data and
if required perform secondary manual inspections to
determine compliance with required specifications and
document the results of those tests.
4. Additionally candidates should have held a Level 2
certification, or the hours required to qualify for
certification to a Level 2 in (at least one of the
following) Radiography, Penetrant, or Eddy Current
inspection.
A. Radiographic inspectors will set up and operate
digital radiographic test systems to analyze, interpret,
and evaluate image data of metallic and nonmetallic
composite bonded assemblies for compliance with
required specifications and document the
results of those tests.
B. Penetrant and Eddy Current testing inspectors
will set up and operate portable surface defect locating
equipment, for the assessment of damage in accordance
with customer requirements, to aerostructures
damaged in the process of assembly operations,
as documented and in accordance with material review
board dispositions.
5. All NDT personnel will support the continuous flow of
product within the manufacturing process by training and
assisting other NDT inspectors in this effort.
6. The qualified candidate will complete a written test
based on the ASNT general questions for UT Level 2 and
selected questions for the other listed methods used at
Tulsa. Also the candidate will successfully pass a skills
demonstration in Ultrasonic inspection using a manual A
scan unit to set up and evaluate a test standard.

Perform duties associated with the non-destructive
testing and inspection of ferrous and non-ferrous raw
stock details and brazed assemblies, materials, parts and
weldments by analyzing radiographs and using electrical
or electronic and magnetic test equipment, fluorescent
penetrate, ultra sonic equipment and precision measuring
instruments.

General Responsibilities

1. Move and/or obtain correct parts, materials, and
tools, as necessary within the employee's assignment as
directed by management.
2. Use of all precision measuring instruments required to
accomplish work assignments.
3. Capable of accessing and navigating electronic systems
as required by the position, program, and/or company.
Company will provide training as required in a timely
manner.
4. Works safely and maintains a safe work environment
adhering to established company safety requirements.
5. Train, coach and/or assist fellow employees as
requested or required by the company.
6. Maintain and utilize required personal certifications
and qualifications as directed by the company to perform
job assignments.
7. Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs per
procedure.
8. Report job handicaps such as: errors in parts,
procedures, tools, sequences, etc
Skills:
