A start up material testing company (Amron, LLC.) is looking to hire its general manager. This
new company will be backed by its parent company from North East Ohio (a vessel fabricator and
industrial contractor) that has been in business since 1995 and carries an A+ BBB rating.
Limited partial ownership is an option of the material testing company.
Pay: $100,000-$125,000 depending on experience.
Work Schedule: 40-50 hour weeks. Monday-Friday (Saturdays as needed).
Travel Requirements: Home every evening
Benefits (after probation period): Health-medical/dental/vision. Vacation, holiday, 401k, and
sick pay. Monthly attendance,-performance bonus.
Miscellaneous: Plenty of room for advancement-growth and possible limited partial ownership
Job Duties:
1. Manage start up materials testing company
2. Along with managing the business, this position will be hands on at the beginning (we
plan on starting with 3 full time employees. The general manager (who will also act as the RSO),
an ASNT Level 2, and an ASNT Level 1. Accounting, HR, and call center will be initially managed
by the parent company.
3. Review monthly financial statements, job reports. Introduce changes as necessary to
maintain profitability
4. Must be a strong, effective leader. Promote team work top to bottom
General Requirements:
1. Pass pre-employment and random drug alcohol
2. Minimal 6 years material testing experience
3. Minimal 3 years business management experience
4. Business aptitude
5. Team Player-Communicates well with others-Good work attitude
6. Pass a pre-employment basic computer skills test
7. Physical ability to walk/climb through pipe and lift 50lbs
Technical Requirements:
1. ASNT Level 2 or higher
2. RSO (or minimally a radiographer with 2000 hrs. hands on experience, eligible and
willing to immediately take course for RSO)
3. Proficiency with the following ASME Codes:
a. BPVC Section IX
b. B31.3 and B31.8
4. CWI
5. Ability to administer PQR’s, and write WPS’s
6. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products
Beneficial Attributes:
1. BS Mechanical or Weld Engineering or equivalent technical degree
2. Business degree or formal business training
3. Proficiency with AutoCAD
