Position Summary


The AutoCAD Operator will develop detailed design drawings and specifications for piping and vessels to the required technical quality as well as convert field ISO sketches into AutoCAD.

The incumbent will also be responsible for entering technical data into the mechanical integrity data management system.



AUTO CAD CLERK JOB DESCRIPTION

1) Compare auto CAD ISO against plant P&ID by unit. Note any discrepancy in line number, size, connections etc. Noted discrepancies are assigned to NDE technician for field verification. Once verified revisions are given CADD for revised drawing or P&ID is marked and given to document control for revision. Master P&ID is highlighted and marked by service and circuit number. Any piping or equipment not highlighted on P&ID is to be given to unit API to determine if it needs to be captured or does not require ultra-pipe tracking.

2) Enter piping and Equipment into ultra-pipe. This may be piping and equipment that has never been entered or it could be entering TML thickness reading from NDE technician

3) Enter weekly timesheets for payroll

4) Assist in cost tracking PO’s as needed

5) Enter DRA data


Responsibilities

Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, and related data to assess factors affecting the structure of piping and vessels, and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
Confer with customer representatives to review schematics and answer questions pertaining to results.
Working from sketches, notes and other input materials, develop detailed AutoCAD drawings.
Review of contract documents with team members and checking of drawings for accuracy and coordination
Enter provided data into mechanical integrity data management system
Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent
2 year degree in Mechanical Drafting, CAD, or other related discipline
Proficient in AutoCAD Architectural Desktop
Demonstrates working knowledge of relevant aspects of commercial planning and design
Experience with CAD operation related to pressure vessels and piping
Proficient MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Proficient with computer editing software, PhotoShop, Equal
