The Rope Access Technician is responsible for, but not limited to, the following job description:

-Proficient in performing conventional NDE services;
-Taking part in onsite training and assisting with on-going personnel competency;
-Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined rope access team;
-Capable of following Rope Access safety procedures;
-Ensure operational safety of all job-relevant equipment;
-Ability to follow supervisory instructions with minimum guidance;
-Responsible for reporting to the Mechanical Integrity Operations Manager; and,
-Any further operational duties relating to Rope Access operations.
Skills:

Required
-Level I, II or III SPRAT or IRATA Certification

Preferred
-Level I or II RT, MT, PT, and/or UT Certifications
High School Diploma or GED

Other Requirements
-Able to meet travel requirements;
-Efficiently carry out supervisor’s instruction;
-Effective communication skills;
-Above average computer skills—Spreadsheet and Word Processing software;
-Able to meet a “Call Out” work schedule;
-Knowledgeable with OSHA’s General and Construction safety industries;
-Proficient in problem solving;
-Punctual;
-Able to pass FBI background check for T&R purposes;
-Able to pass Motor Vehicle Record check;and,
-Capable of passing Company Drug/Alcohol, Fit for Duty, and Ergonomic Testing with lifts of 60 pounds or more.
