Summary: We are seeking a multi-disciplined Senior NDE Technologist

Headquartered in Lynchburg, VA, our customer is a leading supplier of nuclear components and fuel to the U.S. government; provides technical, management and site services to support governments in the operation of complex facilities and environmental remediation activities; and supplies precision manufactured components and services for the commercial nuclear power industry.

We are currently seeking the right candidate to fulfill the role of Sr. NDE Technologist as a part of their Nuclear Operations Group Quality Assurance Dept. This role functions out of the Euclid, Ohio facility to monitor NDT inspection operations. In this role, the right person will observe and report accuracy of the inspector who is doing production inspections on facility hardware. This person will rigorously use checklists designed to capture the inspector’s ability to follow procedures, inspect correct locations, and/or evaluate results.

Skills:
The ideal candidate will be certified to a Level II in at least two of the following method: MT, PT, and UT.

A strong knowledge of NDE methods and procedures is a must. The monitoring activities you would be performing are forms of auditing and process surveillance. Auditing, Training, and/or Coaching Experience is a plus.

Job Qualifications / Requirements

•Proficient knowledge of common NDE specifications. Specific knowledge in NAVSEA 250-1500-1, MIL-STD-2132 and/or ASME Section III a plus.
•Minimum five (5) years of experience of NDE inspection.
•Certified to a Level II in at least two of the following methods: liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic
•Ability to decipher and present spec requirements.
•Verbal and written communication skills.
•Great attitude and pro-active approach to identifying and solving complex problems.
•Ability to obtain a DOE security clearance.

US Citizenship, with no dual citizenship is required for this position.
