Summary:

Applied Technical Services is currently looking for qualified Level II UT Shearwave technicians to help support our operations in Jacksonville, FL. Must have at least 2 years of UT Shearwave experience.

Responsibilities:

◾Conduct Tests to ensure quality or detect defects using NDT methods of inspection

◾Conduct Tests with Ultrasonic Testing Equipment
◾Apply testing in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
◾Interpret, evaluate and document results through formal reports
◾Complete reports and documentation as required.
◾Must be computer literate and be able to write good reports.
◾Participate in ATS and Client safety programs
◾Travel to customers industrial or construction work sites
◾Must be able to work various shifts
◾Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management
Skills:
Minimum Requirements:

◾Certified or Certifiable to Level II in UT-Shearwave
◾Other NDT certifications such as MT, PT, and VT are preferred but not required.
◾Must be willing and able to work at heights, confined spaces, outdoors and in labs, manufacturing and industrial sites.
◾Must be willing and able to travel, work odd hours, work over time, work varying hours and a varying schedule.
◾Must have good communication skills and be computer literate.
◾Must be drug free and have a valid drivers license with a good driving record.

Education and Experience:
◾High School Diploma or equivalent
◾Certified Level II MT, PT, UT and VT.
◾Technical Background in NDT methods & procedures
◾Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
◾Knowledge of NDT equipment
