Position Purpose:
The purpose of the Business Development Director is to develop market strategies in line with company growth, strategic plans, and market intelligence along with supporting specific customer driven solutions nationally and locally in conjunction with the Regional Directors, Major Projects Manager and the President, JANX to grow baseline and major project business.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Build a strong client relation network and relationships, and identify key target accounts throughout USA for specific customer solutions to increase company sales.
* Identify new clients and expand existing client business to grow JANX year after year.
* Deliver the Annual Revenue Budget by securing customer orders in line with business strategy and budget plans.
* Attend weekly or bi-weekly sales and business development meetings and prepare the required documentation to report sales funnel to the President, JANX.
* Follow the JANX quote and sales process in place to achieve annual plan for revenue including preparing and participating in the Project Appraisal Panel process; maintain clear communications between business development and Regional Directors and Major Projects Manager.
* Review market analysis to determine client needs, volume potential, price schedules, discount rates, and develop sales campaigns to accommodate goals for the company.
* Review analysis of business development activities and forecast data to determine progress toward goals and objectives.
* Demonstrate effectiveness in developing new business and maintaining existing business through the ongoing development of successful sales and marketing tactics, but also as a result of personal relationships with clients.
* Develop / assist / participate / execute strategic plans in alignment with company goals and targets.
* Document and organize feedback from customer interactions to identify opportunities for service delivery improvement and other technology and service opportunities.
* Answer customer and local operational team questions and inquires about products, prices, availability, or credit terms.
* Utilize automated systems to maintain customer records, visits, awards and opportunities including the mandatory use of the company designated CRM software.
* Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
* Must maintain a strong focus on cross functional teamwork with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
* Follow and enforce Company policies at all times.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and promote a positive customer service attitude internally and externally
* Enforce and abide by the requirements of safe operation and personal safety using required Personal Protective Equipment and Safe Practices per company policy
* Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:
* 15+ years of experience in an aggressive sales environment in the oil and gas service industry required.
* Successful candidates must understand the oil and gas service industry and have a proven record of accomplishment, showing business impact and creative thinking as well as established customer relationships.
* Bachelor's degree preferred
