The Advanced Services Manager will report to the Director of Operations of the Southwest Region and is responsible for the effectiveness and uniformity of the departmental operations and is continually responsible to improve the efficiency and quality of the Advanced Services department within the region.
The Advanced Services Manager will office out of the LaPorte, TX location, Responsible for P and L and management of the technical process and advanced services personnel.
This will be a Regional role, therefore, travel is required. (Current Southwest Region office locations include; LaPorte, TX - Nederland, TX - Sulphur, LA - Gonzales, LA).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Governance
Execute the responsibilities of a company manager according to lawful and ethical standards. Uphold, safeguard, and promote Acuren's values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, integrity, safety, quality, and corporate responsibility.
Safety
Strategize with the staff to develop a culture that embraces safety, recognizes hazards, and takes action to minimize risk. Ensure employees conduct hazard assessments on every job and that all staff understands they are not to take risks and must refuse unsafe work.
Provide resources to ensure we use quality and appropriate safety equipment, carry out safety training where required, and to conduct safety audits on a regular basis. Provide direct management and leadership in the investigation of all safety incidents.
Department Management
Management responsibilities for the department include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for assignment of personnel for all requests for service. Maximize utilization levels of 90% or higher on a monthly basis. Approve all time sheets for the department
• Coordinate field personnel for Advanced NDE Services with Operations Manager
• Complete annual reviews for all personnel within the department
• Ensure quality control is being executed both in the laboratory and in the field
• Adhere to all Acuren standard operating procedures
• Maintain equipment and applicable records to ensure that all assets are in working order and available for assignment.
• Ensure appropriate communications between all department and division personnel relating to work which requires services in other departments
• Handle all quality issues in accordance with company policy and insure that quality standards are adhered to within the department.
• Participate in client stewardship meetings and sales calls on an as required basis
• Responsible for the procurement of all required supplies and consumables
• Recommends to Division Manager new equipment or procedures to enhance the service delivery for the company.
• Handles primary communication with all advanced services laboratory customers
• Works with Sales Manager on identifying new programs and clients for business development
• Ensure that all technical training is completed to meet internal standards and client requirements
• Develops all UT and ET Personnel as well as making recommendations for career paths of UT and ET personnel
REQUIREMENTS
• Proven Experience with "High end" UT and ET NDT Methods with a minimum of 5 years of experience in UT Immersion inspection methods and equipment
• High energy with ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Willingness and ability to work overtime routinely
• Excellent communication and team oriented skills
• Track record of positive customer relations and background to work with engineering personnel
• "High end" UT and ET NDT experience a must with strong technical background in methods and procedures
• Demonstrated analytical, technical and problem solving skills and abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft programs with strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
• Ability to create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets
• 5- years progressive management experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
