General Summary
Perform and complete coating inspections at various client sites. Work closely with other team members and disciplines to gain a further understanding of projects and tasks as well as office procedures, policies and guidelines.
Essential Job Functions
1. Examine pressure vessels, tanks, and pipelines and perform NACE / SSPC visual and non-destructive testing inspections such as; surface profile, DFT, WFT, CSN, environmental conditions, Hardness, and temperature with the over sight of a NACE Level II.
2. Follow company and department procedures.
3. Calibrate inspection equipment per written procedures and guidelines.
4. Enter confined spaces such as tanks and pressure vessels while wearing fitted respirator and / or fall protection harness.
5. Read ISO, P&ID, blueprints, Code books, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures required to perform the inspection task to be completed.
6. Report to Technical Quality Manager (TQM) results found during inspection activities
7. Prepare detailed inspection reports describing results including any Non Conformance items including repair recommendations.
8. Provide direction and guidance with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer.
9. Work with minimal supervision.
10. Assist project managers with quoting projects, as needed.
11. Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems.
12. Drive vehicle daily from office to work site(s).

Skills:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to enter and work in confined spaces
Must pass a pulmonary exam and wear a respirator
Ability to operate machinery such as a man lift
Ability to read and write reports using Microsoft Office
Good oral and written communication
Must be able to operate various coating equipment
Must be able to read results from inspection equipment
Education and Experience
Minimum 5 years experience performing NACE/SSPC inspections
Minimum 5 years experience completing inspections in the Oil and Energy industry
NACE/SSPC Level III Certification
Quality Control Training Recommended
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
