NVI, LLC is currently accepting applications for an API 510 Lead Inspector whom is capable of providing Level II NDT Erosion Corrosion Inspection. The position is focused in the Aransas Pass, TX business unit.

The API Lead Inspector’s job responsibilities are as follows, but are not limited to:
-Fluent with internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of such equipment;
-Able to check and perform calculations relative to in-service deterioration, repairs, rerates, or alterations, such as those in the following, but not limited to:
--Corrosion rates;
--Weld joint quality and casting quality factors;
--Joint efficiencies;
--Static head pressure;
--Internal pressure/minimum thickness of pipe;
--External pressure;
--Impact testing; and,
--Nozzle reinforcement.
-Ability to assist in scheduling of activities related to inspection;
-Able to provide quality isometric drawings of inspection and corrosion areas on the project location;
-Adequately complete proper Company and client required documentation;
-Communicate with customers and other parties in such a manner as to benefit the professional reputation of the company;
-Report to the client in a professional manner job specific criteria consisting of applicable procedures of the project;
-Capable of managing construction and maintenance contractors to ensure Quality Control;
-Capable of providing non-destructive examination in the following methods:
--Radiographic Examination;
--Liquid Penetrant Examination;
--Magnetic Particle Examination;
--Visual Examination; and,
--Ultrasonic Thickness measurements.
--Any other inspection activities deemed necessary by NVI, LLC Management.
Skills:
Required:
-API 510 certification along with internal/external vessel inspection experience. Project references will be required;
-Currently hold RT, MT, PT and UTT Leve II certifications in accordance to ASNT-TC-1A Written Practice or equivalent. Project references will be required;
-High School Diploma and/or equivalent;
-Valid U.S. driver’s license and able to pass a MVR criteria evaluation;
-Valid TWIC TSA background identification card;
-Able to pass Fit for Duty Testing and Drug/Alcohol policies/procedures; and,
-Knowledgeable of OSHA’s General and Construction safety industry safe practices.
Preferred:
-Advanced educational certifications and/or degrees; and,
Current API certifications in 570, 653.
