Position Summary:
The Level III is responsible for teaching various methods of NDT/NDE and safety protocols.


Key Responsibilities:
•Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT/NDE tasks, in which they are certified, and interpret results of inspections
•Ensuring strict adherence to industrial safety and health guidelines and our radiation safety program and regulations
•Actively participate in Company and Client safety programs
•Complete time sheet and expense reports weekly
•Ability to write and interpret inspection and administrative procedures.
•Organize and report test results
•Ability to test products for structural defects using various NDT methods.
•Direct and supervise Level II technicians to develop and implement new NDE service technology
•Conduct tests using the proper NDE methods and techniques
•Operate and maintain NDE equipment
•Interpreting regulatory requirements, training, shielding, accountability and operational requirements for the safe and reliable operation of Company equipment
•Supervisory/Training experience for technicians seeking Level II or III certification
•Motivate and train large groups of employees
•Assess materials and processes to help ensure employees understand the materials being taught
•Ensure and document that all personnel working with and handling radioactive material, have all required training required by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and or the appropriate state regulations
•Review new or proposed processes, facilities or procedures to ensure radiation hazards are minimized and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies are met
•Assist with Hazard assessments and Risk Assessments
•Recommend and implement additional programs as laws and compliance requirements change
•Provide instruction/training for employees in those methods designated by the Director and insure
employees demonstrate their ability to effectively perform assigned NDT/NDE tasks, in which they are certified, and interpret results of inspections for those method(s) which seeking certification
•Administer written and practical examinations to those employees seeking certification and grading the test results
•Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management
•Adheres to the Company Code of Conduct
•Complete all required documentation, including timesheets, attendance logs, and certifications

Skills:
Required Qualifications and Competencies for the Position:
•5 years’ experience in Radiographic Operations as a Radiographer.
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Basic computer skills, preferred
•Must have satisfactory knowledge of NDT test methods for which providing instruction/certification
•Knowledge in application and compliance requirements of regulatory codes (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards and recommended practices (API, NFPA, ASME, etc.) is preferred
•AWS RT (American Welling Society – Radiography) Interpreter certification, preferred.
•Technical certifications in ASNT NDT III with RT, MT, PT, and UT qualifications.
•Advanced training in NDE applications
•Experience with advanced NDE technology, including automated data collection systems, X-ray crawler systems, RTR, and ultrasonic phased array systems, preferred.
•Knowledge of radiological regulations and requirements
•Knowledge of radioactive materials and radiation-generating devices
•Knowledge of specified testing methods, in which the Director has determined, for training personnel for certification
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience with safety requirements in pipeline construction
•Has knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices
•Able to operate a GPS
•Self-motivated and reliable

•Responsible for all activities performed on location
•Climbing and working off of ladders, stairs and scaffolding in excess of 100 feet continuously throughout shift
•Be able to climb ladders and platforms up to 250 feet with a harness and lanyard
•Be able to step up into vehicles or onto equipment
•Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
•Working in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold
•Work in and near industrial hazards
•Be able to work outdoors in warm, hot and cold conditions


Working Conditions:
•Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, crawling, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation and color vision
•Moving, carrying and lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds
