Position Description:
MMT is seeking a field technician with a mechanical background and extensive hands on experience with various tools and equipment to join our talented team. The field technician will be responsible for utilizing MMT’s testing instruments to complete field services. New hires will be put through a training program to become comfortable with the testing instruments and familiar with the data, and quality standards for that data, that they will be collecting in the field. The position requires a commitment to travel to test sites to support the deployment of the testing services.
Field technicians will be working in indoor and outdoor environments year-round exposed to all seasonal elements. The work involves carrying, lifting, and/or moving objects in excess of 50 pounds, and working in a variety of test sites that require the efficient use of ladders, stairs, or scaffolding in excess of 100 feet. Few of these sites will be near industrial hazards however all will require proper OSHA training and personal protective equipment and safety measures to be taken; all of which will be provided by MMT. Field technicians will spend a large portion of the day on their feet, and extended hours are highly anticipated.
Responsibilities Include:
* Field testing
* Travelling to sites
* Set up NDT equipment and perform calibrations
* Collecting data through testing and documentation as outlined in MMT procedures
* Supporting existing product and troubleshooting
* Completing MMT’s field technician training
