Canyon State Inspection Inc. (CSI) is seeking Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Assistants to support our Tucson, AZ. location. This position includes NDT education and training with the opportunity to obtain Level II certifications in all methods of NDT. Skills:
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist Level II NDT technicians complete various types of NDT inspections both in our facility as well as clients job sites.
Set up and breakdown of equipment
Surface prep
Assist in applying testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
Organize and report test results
Perform specialized inspections
Perform other job related tasks as assigned
Skills Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Level I training in any or all of the following methods: MT, PT, ET, UT, RT
Shop math and reading skills
Must be willing to train in NDT
Ability to use basic computer functions for data entry
Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Applicants must complete a drug screen and have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working overtime as requested
Must have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated

Mechanical aptitude
Exceptional attention to detail
Willingness to travel
Must be able to meet the following physical demands:
Climbing-ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
Stooping, bending, crouching, reaching
Standing-up to 95% of shift
Walking, pushing, pulling
Lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
All applicants will be required to pass standard background and drug screenings.
