Job Description

-Penetrant inspect and evaluate parts in accordance with written standards.
-Maintain penetrant system and materials logs.
-Ensure penetrant system equipment calibration is maintained.
-Perform daily checks of equipment and testing materials as required per written procedures
-Develop written procedures to be approved by the responsible Level 3 Inspector when required
-Initiate customer correspondence when issues arise
-Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welded assemblies as needed
-Disposition nonconforming product as needed

Qualifications

-Current experience and training meeting the requirements of NAS410 for Level 2 Penetrant Inspector
-Must be able to pass vision test and be capable of adequately distinguishing and differentiating colors
-Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T and weld symbols
-Experience working to the following specifications and standards

• ASTM-E1417 / AWS D17.1
• Boeing BAC specifications BAC5423/BSS7039 (BAC5975, BAC5974)
• ASME Section V Article 6 / ASME BPVC Section VIII and IX / ASME B31.1/B31.3
• NADCAP
• AS9100

-Experience using Outlook, Word, Excel
-Pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
-Must be able to communicate and work well with others in person, on the phone and through email
-Must be able to work with minimal supervision
-The ability to regularly lift 35lbs.
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Willingness to work overtime in order to meet deadlines as needed
-Current AWS CWI or ability to acquire certification is highly desired
-Romer CMM arm experience with PC DMIS and DOCS software is desired

Work Hours: M-F; 7:00am - 3:30pm with overtime when required
