Position Purpose:
* The individual will perform a wide variety of clerical tasks, for the Lab Manager, Technicians, Shipping and Receiving Department, Quality and Safety program.
* Prioritize tasks with direction from the Business Unit Manager.

Duties and Responsiblities:
* Responsible for day-to- day administrative tasks for operational efficiency.
* Coordinate operational activities; create work reports on a weekly basis or ad hoc
* Accept and sign for packages, distribute mail, and preparation of shipments
* Billing of Lab Cards (Primary) / Importing
* Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; evaluating new office products; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
* Assist with contacting of customers who have unpaid invoices past 90 days.
* Back Up to Generating Lab Cards/Certifications/Shippers.
* Assist with generating of Quotes (Back Up).
* Set up new Vendors.
* Assist in answering and directing all incoming calls to appropriate individual lab personnel including Lab Manager.
* Supervises the maintenance of office equipment, including copier, postage meter, etc.
* Cross train in various duties in support of other positions.
* Provide backup support in maintaining job tracking system.
* Perform all duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:
* Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments
* Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse groups of people
* Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
* Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products
* Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
* Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision

Education and Work Experience:
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
