RCS has an immediate need for Level II MT & UT Seasonal NDE Technicians for the Fall 2018 fossil outage season (approximately end of September through late October).

Founded in 1983, our client is an engineering consulting firm of approximately 300 highly qualified professionals and support personnel and 12 office locations.  The company offers a full spectrum of state-of-the-art NDE inspection and metallurgical services.

Summary
Job assignments are typically 5 to 7 days for most projects.  Individuals selected for assignments may be considered for additional project assignments later in the year.  Actual expenses for travel will be covered by SI. 

Requirements
- Current Level II certification in MT and UT (specifically UT Shearwave), with no less than 2 years of direct experience in these methods inspecting fossil power plant piping.
- Individuals selected must successfully complete a security background check, medical examination, as well as a drug and alcohol screening test. 
- Due to the nature of the work, individuals must be able to pass security screening, drug screening, and respirator fit testing (as well as any prerequisite tests required).
- OSHA-10 safety training and ASNT certification examinations must be completed prior to initial project assignment. 
- Individuals interested in applying must provide documented evidence satisfying the qualification requirements for Level II certification along with a current resume.
- Must have a personal credit card for travel expenses (reimbursed).
- Must have the ability to rent a car and must have a valid driver's license.
- Due to the nature of this assignment, US Citizens are required.

Preferred
- Familiarity with and experience in TOFD and Phased Array UT techniques. 

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Must be willing and able to conduct assignments in an environment of less than favorable conditions including dirty or radiological environments and physically challenging conditions (e.g., temperatures 32-120F or physical activities such as fitting into tight spaces, climbing ladders and/or over pipes or lifting/carrying equipment - up to 50 lbs.)
- Demonstrate ability to maintain focus in hazardous industrial environments such as in confined spaces, working at heights or on steep terrain where rope access may be required, on scaffolds and aerial work platforms, high noise (85dB or greater), with operating machinery or construction activities occurring nearby (e.g., oxy-fuel welding and cutting, grinding, overhead loads, etc.).
