Job Summary:
The Associate Instructor/Consultant will work with and learn from a Level 3 in providing; classroom instruction, testing, and certification services in a classroom/laboratory setting as well as providing customers with consulting services. This is a full time permanent position commencing immediately at our St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area location. This position is open to qualified candidates looking to further their career into the training/consulting area of NDT. Ideal candidates would be senior Level 2 technicians or new Level 3s with the desire to expand their knowledge and share it with others.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand, apply and impart the essential facts and principles covering the methods of Nondestructive Testing to students, using a variety of instructional techniques
• Develop and revise curriculum
• Consultation with clients in the development, approval and administration of training, certification examinations, NDT procedures and Written Practices
• Classroom management
• Show personal interest in students and create a climate conducive to optimal learning
• Client customer service
• Professional attitude and appearance, at all times
• Some travel required
Skills:
If a current Level 2:
• Certified NDT Level 2, with 4 years minimum experience, in at least 3 of the following methods: PT, MT, RT, CR, DRT, UT, PAUT, TOFD, ET, VT, TIR, LT
• Must be willing to work toward obtaining ASNT NDT Level III in at least 3-5 methods within a reasonable time frame

If a current Level 3:
• Certified NDT Level 3 and the ability to teach/consult in at least 3 of the following methods: PT, MT, RT, CR, DRT, UT, PAUT, TOFD, ET, VT, TIR, LT
• Work toward obtaining ASNT NDT Level III in at least 5 methods within a reasonable time frame
• Ability to develop and administer course curriculum and outlines
• Ability to develop and administer qualification examinations
• Ability to develop NDT procedures
• 3 years Level II experience

All Candidates:
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge gained
• Must be VERY fluent in written and spoken English
• Ability to lift 50 pounds to a height of 3-4 feet
• Have a strong desire to learn

Desired Qualifications:
• Be ready to transition into a Level 3 by having at least 4 years or equivalent documented experience as a Level 2 in at least 4 of the following methods: PT, MT, RT, CR, DRT, UT, PAUT, TOFD, ET, VT, TIR, LT
• Hold a current ASNT NDT Level 3 in any of the methods above
• Ability to teach/consult in the methods above and / or willingness to learn to teach these methods
