Perform Visual and/or Ultrasonic Weld Inspections on structural steel utility tower sections to ensure they meet the requirements of AWS D1.1.
Skills:
Must be able to meet the ASNT requirements of a visual weld inspector.
Perform Visual and Ultrasonic Weld Inspections, (UT - after certification), to the requirements of ASNT SNT TC-1A for a UT Level I.
One year in Quality Control or related field. Welding background preferred.
Manufacturing experience, preferably in a steel environment.
Be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Understanding of Weld Symbols.
Be able to accurately verify all parts to print using a tape measure.
Have the ability to perform work functions while standing for long periods of time.
Must maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Possess effective communication skills.
Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Have the ability to climb and bend over in order to inspect sections.
Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to all climates.
Must be able to read and write in English.
Perform other duties as required.
Educational Requirements:
• High School/GED preferred.
Shift:
Monday - Friday, 3:30 pm - 12 am, Overtime and Weekends as needed
