Position Purpose:
This position serves as a primary contact, in conjunction with the Director of Quality and Quality Managers, for all divisions of X-Ray Industries and its employees regarding the overall function of the quality system. This position is responsible for supporting key objectives, strategies, goals and driving performance excellence. This position provides leadership and over site in the support of X-Ray Industries' guiding principles and strategic planning goals. This position requires travel as necessary. The Director of Quality will assign the Quality Engineer divisions / locations throughout X-Ray Industries, Inc. in which they will support as defined in this job description.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Protect the integrity of X-Ray Industries regarding all quality related functions.
* Support assigned facilities in regards to the QMS to protect the integrity of the quality system and the required third party and customer approvals.
* Responsible for corrective actions, non-conformance and customer complaint logs, including investigation, suggestions for continual improvement and provide customer contact when necessary
* Assist in the overall X-Ray Industries continuous improvement program
* Act as liaison, when necessary, for customer or third party issues related to the overall quality program of X-Ray Industries.
* Review/assist facilities in meeting monthly BSC/KPI quality goals and objectives including performance excellence activities to address performance results, and provide continuous improvement suggestions
* Plan, promote and organize training activities to ensure the integrity of the overall quality system
* Oversees the development and revision of required procedures and documents related to the overall quality system. Ensures that procedure requirements for customer approval are submitted as required by the customer.
* Responsible for the overall internal auditing requirements within the quality system
* Assist in the development of facility specific metrics to assist in driving performance excellence
* Remain current on FAA, Nadcap, AS9100 and all Quality System standards that impact the overall quality management system
* Travel requirements up to 30%
* Attend professional training courses and workshops such as ASQ, Nadcap, etc.
* Provide an integral resource to lab personnel
* Must be able to travel on short notice

Knowledge and Skills:
* Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
* Practical understanding of NDT, Chemical Processing, AS9100, ISO9001, TS 16949
* Ability to communicate to Senior Management, Customers and plant personnel.
* Ability to lead and facilitate team problem solving.
* Knowledge of Six Sigma, Management by sight, Lean, Performance Excellence methodologies.
* Positive approach to changing objectives and priorities.
* Communicate the organizational vision, mission, and strategic planning commitments to customers.
* Ability to build and maintain professional customer relationships
* Excellent oral/written communication skills.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Powerpoint, Visio) Knowledge of SharePoint helpful.
* Able to multi-task.
* Customer service driven, teamwork and detail orientated, professional, upbeat, energetic, takes initiative, dependable, takes pride in work.

Education and Work Experience:
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Bachelors degree and/or minimum of 5 years' experience in related field.
