Canyon State Inspection Inc. (CSI) is seeking Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Assistants to support our Phoenix, AZ. location. Classroom education in magnetic particle and fluorescent penetrant methods is required. This position includes NDT education and training with the opportunity to obtain both Level I and Level II certifications in multiple methods of NDT.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist Level II NDT technicians complete various types of NDT inspections both in our facility as well as clients job sites.

• Set up and breakdown of equipment
• Surface prep
• Assist in applying testing criteria in accordance
with applicable specifications or standards and
evaluate results
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned

***All applicants will be required to pass standard background and drug screenings.***

Skills:
Skills Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Classroom hours in MPI & FPI
• Shop math and reading skills
• Must be willing to train in NDT
• Ability to use basic computer functions for data entry
• Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Applicants must complete a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Working overtime as requested
• Must have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated
• Dependable
• Mechanical aptitude
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Willingness to travel

Must be able to meet the following physical demands:
• Climbing-ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
• Stooping, bending, crouching, reaching
• Standing-up to 95% of shift
• Walking, pushing, pulling
• Lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
