Level II UT Phased Array Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:
Will be performing advanced ultrasonic inspections in addition to other inspection methods.

Experience
Qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
Phased Array Technicians are thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of Assistants and Level I Technicians. Level II Technicians organize and report results of NDT.

Perform quality call out inspections services as required on a daily basis, customer service, inventory control of issued equipment, compliant with all quality and safety procedures. Other responsibilities include:

* Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
* Calibrate Nondestructive Test equipment
* Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
* Interpret and record results of inspections
* Assist Level II and III Technicians in performing NDT procedures and other operations
* Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
* Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS:
Level II Certification/experience in Phased Array required;
additional
Level II certifications MT, PT RT VT are a plus ;
High School Diploma or equivalent
Some college preferred
Technical background in NDT methods and procedures including two years performing Phased Array
Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
Knowledge of NDT equipment
Strong work ethic
