Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform Level II RT inspections and other NDE inspections as specified;
Set up and calibrate testing equipment and materials;
Calculate, establish and control radiation area;
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results;
Organize and report test results;
Responsible for producing quality radiographs;
Manage long term projects;
Able to meet travel expectations;
Communicate with customer/client representatives on a daily basis;
Perform specialized inspections;
May be responsible for guidance and on-the-job training of NDT Trainees and RT Assistants in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, procedures and the Company's written practice;
Establish and manage all safety procedures and functions throughout a project;
Effective at meeting deadlines established by management and the client;
Maintain and promote a positive attitude while on projects; and,
Any other assignment necessary to meet Level II RT responsibilities set forth by the Company.
Required Skills:
Current ASNT/ACCP Level II Radiography certification;
Valid State Radiographers card or IRRSP card;
Fluent in conventional/CR/DR film and image processing;
Familiar with applicable welding codes, i.e. ASME, API, AWS, etc.;
List of projects managed as a Level II Radiographer;
Exceptional attention to detail and quality
Ability to utilize computers for reporting (i.e., MS Office Suite,)
Good communication skills written and verbal
Must possess a valid U.S. drivers license
Must be capable of passing Company Drug and Alcohol exam
Preferred Skills / Education:
ANST/ACCP Level II or Level III UT, MT, PT Certifications, or documented field hours and classroom education that meets or exceeds SNT-TC-1A certification requirements for methods of MT, PT, UT & RT;
Capable of successfully passing Companys Level II UT, MT and PT certification process;
High School Diploma, GED, and/or advanced education;
TWIC card is a plus.
