In this role the successful individual will gain on-the-job (OJT) hours and a Level I Ultrasonic Certification to SNT-TC-1A to perform either ultrasonic and/or radiography inspection. This role will receive the necessary instruction from a Level II or Level III.
•Assist Level II’s in operating UT and/or RT equipment
•Assist in calibration of equipment
•Conduct equipment maintenance
•Communicate and record test results
•Monitor test software and equipment to ensure product quality
•Conduct equipment changeover for size change
•Other assigned duties
•Assist Level II’s in operating UT and/or RT equipment

Skills:
•Must be able to pass the Math Skills Test
•Able to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and overtime
•Able to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust and noise
•20/25 Corrected Near Vision in both eyes (tested annually)
•Successful completion of Color Discrimination Test (tested annually)
•Flexibility and willingness to learn and accept changes in job duties
•Able to work independently or in team environment
•Requires close observation and concentration skills during inspection of product and operation of equipment
•Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and mechanical aptitude
•Proficient with Microsoft windows based software programs and MS office
•Good planning and organizational skills
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Advanced reading, writing, and math skills
•Successful completion ergonomics evaluation of physical requirements of position (routinely requires standing for long periods of time, occasional sitting, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., pulling, pushing, reaching/crouching)
Preferred:
•Degree in Nondestructive Testing Technology preferred
•Level I Ultrasonic Certification to SNT-TC-1A preferred
•6-12 months experience in an industrial environment preferred
•Able to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and overtime
•Able to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust and noise
