IMTL is recruiting Steel Inspectors with CWI and NDT Certifications in Plainville, Connecticut to provide scheduled inspections on various construction sites and steel shops throughout Connecticut and Westchester County, NY. As an inspector, you will work closely with project superintendents to inspect the different phases of steel construction and to identify any discrepancies as necessary. This will include (but is not limited to) assessment and inspection of both field and shop welding, metal decking, bolting, shear studs, Ultrasonic and Magnetic Particle testing, and column plumb. You will also be required to provide daily inspection reports and work closely with office staff on scheduling and reporting.

Job Requirements
Education And Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent - required
Current AWS CWI - required
Level II NDT certifications: MT, PT, UT – required
ICC Certification - preferred
Management Experience-preferred
OSHA Certification preferred
Special Inspection Experience-preferred
