The Nondestructive Testing Level II PAUT Technician will independently perform inspections utilizing various NDT (Phased Array UT, ToFD, SW) techniques seeking cracks, corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions in accordance with specific written criteria. The technician will perform inspections, interpret indications, and report results per company requirements. The technician will be able to communicate processes, procedures and results to customer.

This role is not eligible for Sponsorship. Relocation assistance will not be provided.


Core Responsibilities:

Identify damage mechanism

Ensure the inspections performed are meeting the inspection requirements for detection

Recommend repairs as appropriate from inspection findings

Provide timely feedback of inspection results to the customer

Provide oversight, interpretation, auditing and approval of NDE to be performed

Organize, prioritize and execute a peak work load

Comply with all KSPS AIM, and client safety procedures that govern the work being performed
Skills:
Education, Certifications Work Experience and Skills Required:

High School Diploma or GED

Posses a valid drivers license

MS Office, including Word, Excel & Outlook

Effective Communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal

UT Level II with experience and documented training in manual and/or Automated Phased Array

Design scan plans and build setups

Set-up and calibrate equipment

Conduct examinations

Interpret, size, characterize and document results

Travel as needed to various jobsite locations both in and out of state

Education, Certifications Work Experience and Skills Required:

Associates/Technical degree or higher in a trade or technical field


TOFD, AUT and Guided Wave UT experience

API Certifications

Knowledge of or exposure to other Advanced Modalities

Ability to direct the work of trainees Level I, Level II and other personnel

Physical Demands/Unusual working conditions:

Ability to climb ladders & platforms up to 250 feet with harness and lanyard

Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather

Travel as needed up to 75%
