Produce machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC Machine); maintaining equipment/supplies.

Duties:
•Programs mills/lathes by entering instructions, including zero/reference points; setting tool register, offsets, compensation and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry.

•Prepare/load raw materials onto machines
•Set up mills/lathes by installing/adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.

•Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part/sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.

•Maintain specs by observing drilling, grooving, cutting, including turning/facing/knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting/reprogramming controls.

•Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting of malfunctions;calling for repairs; continuity among work shifts by communicating actions/irregularities and continuing needs.

•Document actions by completing production /quality logs.

Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Skills/ Experience:

Understand specs of the task at hand, the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings.

basic math, geometry and trigonometry

drilling, grooving, cutting, troubleshooting

1-2 years experience preferred
