Applied Technical Services Inc. We are seeking temporary Assistants & Level II NDT Technicians to help support our 2020 spring Outage season in Florida. Applicants must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities and duties:

- Assist with the set up and help calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
- Help conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
- Assist in establishing techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
- Assist in applying testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
- Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
- Organize and report test results
- Perform specialized inspections
- Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS: Entry Level NDT Assistants

EDUCATION:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some college preferred
- Experience in an industrial setting
- NDT Level I Certification preferred
- Technical background in NDT methods and procedures preferred
- Knowledge of NDT equipment preferred

Duties and Responsibilities: NDT Level II Technicians
�X The NDT Technician Level II will be responsible for assisting with lab inspections and supporting customers on a daily basis at various sites.
�X Collect, manage, and evaluate test data for accuracy and consistency.
�X Complete reports and documentation as required.
�X Must be able to read technical documents and engineering specifications.
�X Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures.
�X Work safely; maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures.
�X Proven ability to adapt to an ever-changing schedule.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
�X Shop math and print reading skills
�X Ability to use computers for data entry
�X Able to travel
�X Ability to effectively communicate with other departments, and customers to solve problems
�X Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures
�X High School Diploma or equivalent
�X Excellent communication skills written and verbal
�X Applicants must complete a drug screen and have a valid driver��s license with a clean driving record
Work Conditions
�X Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
�X May be required to travel to client locations and sites
�X Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
