Have the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the NDT method(s) as used by Honeywell.
Be capable of assuming technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff.
Be capable of selecting the method and technique for a specific inspection.
Be capable of preparing and verifying the adequacy of procedures and work instructions.
Approve NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy.
Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods and product manufacturing and inspection technologies used by Honeywell.
Be capable of providing or directing training, examination, and certification of personnel.
Conduct NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results if a demonstration of proficiency in this ability was included in the practical examination.
Be capable of auditing outside agencies to ensure the requirements of this manual are met, (if applicable).
Comply with the latest revision of NDE-001.
Incorporate amendments/revisions of NDE-001 within 30 days of release.
Maintain site NDT procedures and work instructions.
Prepare for the Network audit, assure audit scope and audit contact in eAuditNet is correct.
Assure NDT suppliers used by the site are approved.
Create and administer the written examinations for the sites NDT inspectors.
Create and document practical test pieces for all methods and techniques used at the site.
Maintain site NDT personal roster.
Submit monthly MOR to RL3.
Perform self-audit and submit audit package.
Administer annual proficiencies.
Create procedure and review NDT calibration certificates.
Willing to mentor and training other level I or level II NDT representatives.
