SOPUS is currently seeking a Pressure Equipment Inspector for its Los Angeles Refinery.

In this position you will be responsible for all aspects of pressure equipment integrity for the operating units assigned. As the Unit Inspector you will assure pressure equipment integrity, safety and reliability by assessing the effects of corrosion or other deleterious process on equipment and taking corrective action. Additional duties include inspection/monitoring equipment conditions, interval setting, coordination of state inspections, investigation of all failures and record keeping. You will also have an understanding of corrosion processes, codes and standards and NDE (concepts and techniques. You will also establish renewal thickness for equipment and work with maintenance to replace equipment as required.

· Basic computer skills.
· Capable of reading and understanding equipment fabrication and piping isometric drawings.


Skills:
To be considered for this position you must posses a High School Diploma/GED, be API Certified in API 510, 570 and/or 653, and an understanding UT, RT and other NDE methods. Additionally, you should be experienced in ANST in Level 1, 2, or 3.
