Summary: ATS is looking for an experienced NDT Manager/Supervisor to be based out of Chicago, IL. This position will act as a senior NDT technician and future NDT manager. This position will require working closely with local Consulting Engineers and Salesmen to help identify new clients and expand inspection services in the upper Midwest region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily communication with ATS Consulting Engineers and Salesmen.
• Perform field NDT.
• Manage projects $5,000 - $250,000.
• Manage client relationships.
• Maintain & develop rapport with clients.
• Expand NDT services in the upper Midwest.
• Manage/Supervise NDT technicians as they are added to the growing office.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety and OSHA requirements

Experience and Certifications:

• 5+ years supervising NDT technicians.
• 5+ years performing NDT within industrial facilities (i.e., pulp & paper, chemical, power generation, etc.).
• Thoroughly familiar with NDT methods (VT, MT, PT, UT, EC, RT, etc.)
• Able to prepare written instructions.
• Able to organize and document NDT data.
• Use of Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Level II or Level III in at least four (4) NDT methods.

• Demonstrated leadership skills proven in NDT or possibly a similar industry.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
• Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
• Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
