This position conducts non-destructive testing on inert and energetic materials, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and products using radiographic testing procedures to ensure proper assembly and detection of defect characteristics.

esponsibilities

Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment.
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using radiographic digital and film testing methods.
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
Organize and report test results.
May perform other specialized inspections using applicable testing methods.
May provide guidance to Level 1 or trainees.
Reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
Record and or report the results of the non-destructive test as required on appropriate documents.
Interpret results of test to various specifications and standards.
Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
Analyze test data and make computations as necessary to determine test results.
Supports quality audits including NADCAP accreditation.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years experience in radiographic operations as a Radiographer.
Prefer certification to ASNT Level II in RT.
Current state radiation safety or ASNT in the Aerospace and Defense industry preferred.
