STS is looking to hire a motivated NAS 410 NDT Level II Technician certified in the methods of ET & UT at a minimum. Additional certs in MT, PT & RT would be a plus. Looking for a team member to operate our Northern Connecticut Region. Occasional travel across the North East Region will be required a few times a month to assist other team members on larger work scopes.

Skills:
The following are the essential duties and requirements for the position.

 Working from written procedures, specifications and general instructions; perform non-destructive test inspections on a variety of aircraft airframe and engine parts.
 Set up, calibrate and monitor equipment and related probes, cables and standards.
 Interpret, evaluate and document results in accordance with our written procedures and specifications.
 Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures.
 Ability to work with computers/computerized equipment.
 Ability to read, understand and communicate in English.
 Minimum 2 years experience in NDT field as a certified NAS 410 technician in UT & ET.
 Ability to work with other maintenance crews, supervisors and clients.
 Must own a vehicle and have valid driver’s license and clean driving records.
 Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random Drug and Alcohol Testing in accordance with US DOT drug testing procedures.
 Must pass a background check.
Skills: Eddy Current - Surface, Sub-Surface (Spot, Sliding Block, Ring Probe), Conductivity Testing & Bolt Hole.

Ultrasoinc - Thickness Testing, L-Wave & S-Wave Flaw Detection on Composites, Steel and Aluminum

Qualifications:

 Education: High school graduate /GED
 Experience: 2-3 years Level II experience
