Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect
discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of
inspection
• Perform general and project-specific oversight to
ensure quality program requirements are completed
properly
• Review documentation to ensure contractual and
quality program requirements are understood and met
• Execute techniques for proper examination of items
under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to
safety regulations
• Organize and report test results
• Monitor and maintain the operational integrity of
instruments, gages, and specialized measurement
equipment
• Good interpersonal skills, able to deal effectively
with a wide range of situations and personalities
• Set an example as a role model for the Safety
Program
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience as a Level II Inspector (VT, PT, MT
methods) in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A (Current
AWS CWI can be considered in lieu of VT method)
• Training records in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A
• Documented experience in accordance with ASNT SNT-
TC-1A
• Current eye exam/Certified to Jager1 or the ability
to obtain
• Current color contrast differentiation or the
ability to obtain
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer
skills
• Capability to read and review drawings or prints
• While performing duties you may be required to
stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist and/or lift up to 50
pounds
• Exposed to manufacturing plant conditions and
elements including but not limited to noise, dust,
dirt, oil, and grease
• PPE will be required including safety glasses, ear
plugs and/or safety shoes
Skills:
• Experience working under an ISO, NQA-1 and/or ASME
Section VIII based quality assurance programs.
• Knowledge of welding processes desirable
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Boiler & Pressure
Vessel Codes
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and B31.3
