The position is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet or exceed quality standards as well as all safety, environmental and ISO requirements. Implement continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing and QC environment.



Duties & Responsibilities: All duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the position. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

- Develop and maintain daily inspection reports.
- Perform inspections across all stages of production. - --- - Fabrication (Structural & Pipe), Welding, Blast, Paint, Refractory.
- Ensure compliance to company/customer standards and specifications.
- Maintain calibration of quality control equipment
- Identify areas for quality control and improvement.
- Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
- Work with the management and production managers to ensure that only quality products are produced and to resolve problems with parts setups, routings and quality issues.
- Monitor every stage of production to avoid product defects.
- Assist in training employees in the operation of inspection equipment, blueprint reading, welding procures, as well as make recommendations for trainings on a group or individual basis.
- Work with Operations, Engineering and Purchasing and /or the vendors for the disposition of the questionable parts, workmanship and engineering or drawing issues.
- Maintain work areas in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
- Detect and report any unusual conditions or faulty material.
- Follow company policies, procedures and processes
Wearing, maintaining and properly storing your personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Volunteering to serve on your Safety Committee.
Skills:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Solid understanding of test equipment
- Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience
- Preferred experience working in an ISO 9001 and/or IS 14001 certified company
- Strong working knowledge of basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, using fractions.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- ASNT VT & MT Level II or equivalent preferred
