Barracuda Specialty Services is currently seeking a RT and UT Shearwave Auditor to support our Carlsbad, New Mexico Project!
The NDT Auditor's duties and responsibilities require that they be both knowledgeable and experienced in all phases of pipeline and related facilities, weld quality, and non-destructive testing. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Primary Functions:
Assures that radiographic procedures, film interpretation, film quality and film identification are in accordance with approved specifications.
The Level II UT Shearwave Inspector will be required to comprehend specifications to determine testing/inspection procedures and equipment to be used.
The candidate must be able to set up and calibrate equipment, conduct tests using the relevant NDT procedures, compare results to applicable specifications/acceptance criteria and record test/inspection data.
Maintains continual communications with the clients regarding welding and film quality.
Assures station numbers and all film artifacts are documented and confirmed on the NDE report turned in by the NDE Contractor.
Reviews X-Ray contractor's radiographs and reports and prepares a separate Daily Radiographic Report listing all welds reviewed.
Identifies all defects that are not acceptable per code requirements.
NDT Auditor that is comfortable traveling to various projects locally and long distance and remaining at the project site for the duration of the project.
Determine, set, and verify Client NDE specifications and/or procedures
Develop NDE inspection procedures and implement processes for compliance
Ensure NDE inspections meet applicable procedures and reports and determine/administer corrective actions
Verify testing results and processes
Provide supervision, advice, surveillance, and quality assurance over the Clients appointed contractor performing project task
Use independent judgment and discretion to accept and/or reject work product of the Clients appointed contractors
Use stop work authority, if necessary, to "stop the job" if safety is of concern

Skills:
Qualifications:
Must have previous experience in the interpretation of pipeline radiography as a Certified Level II Interpreter.
Holds at a minimum a Level II Certificate in RT and UT Shearwave or ASNT Level III.
Experience with Microsoft Suite of products Word, Excel, PPT and PDF and SharePoint sites such as OneDrive or similar.
Familiar with RT inspection as applied in client specifications.
