Summary: ATS is seeking NDI Level II / Supervisor - Mechanical Integrity in Selkirk/Albany, NY. Relocation assistance potentially available. Pay range $35-40 per hour depending on experience. Typically, 40 - 50 hours per week. Additional hours available during outages.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Perform examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
Daily scheduling of UT testing
Monitoring of data entry into Mechanical Integrity database (PSAim) to ensure quality of data being entered
Monitoring of low-remaining life data report in PSAim and verification of data in field as necessary to ensure accuracy of report
Validation of thickness data coverage of existing assets, creation of additional inspection points as appropriate and as agreed with separate API 570 lead, and then coordination/execution of inspection of those points including potential working from mobile platforms and ladders
Working with separate drafting team to enter new pipes into database and/or correct data on existing pipes (numbering, description, nominal thickness, etc) through assignment of new TML's and conversion of existing UT data to new TML numbering.
Update piping isometrics to show current TMLs
Training others (Owner and Contractor employees) to support NDT work
Making suggestions for updates to site NDT procedures as necessary to improve the program. UTSW weld inspection for new piping fabrication
Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and exercise assigned responsibility for OJT and guidance of trainees
Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and work priorities in order to meet customer expectations.
Be able to prepare written instructions and to organize and report the results of examinations.
Work independently and support team members. Perform other job related tasks as needed and assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Prior NDT supervisory experience
Minimum 5-years UT experience including current certifications in ASNT-TC1A UT/MTPT Level II
Certification for confined space entry and mobile platforms (eg boom lifts)
Outstanding commitment to and history of executing work safely
Minimum 1-year experience working with Mechanical Integrity computer databases
NDT Level II UT/MT/PT Technician Meet the minimum requirements of an NDT Level II Technician; provide documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method(s); have a working knowledge of industrial environments and general manufacturing processes; ability to effectively communicate with other departments, and customers to report issues and solve problems.

Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions:
Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
