Acuren Inspection is currently recruiting for a Metallographer to support our operations. The successful candidate will be performing routine metallographic evaluation of prepared metallic specimens in accordance with client requirements and internal procedures.

Responsibilities
Apply criteria expressed in material and process specifications to the evaluation of suitably prepared metallurgical specimens and generate reports.
Assist in the coordination of work flow through the department and scheduling to meet client needs.
Provide guidance and feedback to metallographic preparation technicians and assist with specimen preparation as required from time to time.
Conduct various corrosion susceptibility tests.
Interact with clients periodically to review work instructions and evaluation results.
Perform other duties as may be required from time to time.

Requirements
Associates degree or two years of post-high school studies in relevant technical field.
Minimum 3 years in materials laboratory setting or materials-related field. Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred.
Ability to read and interpret detailed technical specifications and drawings
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent English communication skills including correct basic grammar, spelling, punctuation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Keyboarding proficiency (40 wpm preferred).
Ability to safely carry out oral and written work instructions.
