Radiographer Level 2 is responsible for performing gamma and x-ray radiography in accordance with code quality requirements found in API, ASME, AWS and client specified documents, performing interpretation of the results, and generating inspection reports. This individual reports directly to the Inspection Foreman.

This position will be responsible for driving Kakivik's Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success. Essential Duties & Job Functions:

Perform radiographic inspections in assigned service, industrial, construction, and maintenance areas.
Ensure full utilization of information, procedures, and work methods.
Perform all tasks according to company and client safety guidelines and participate in weekly and pre-job/daily safety meetings.
Coordinate with the facility owner/operator and other contractors and project teams on the work site to always maintain an open and cooperative
relationship, including during the high stress, high activity levels of TAR maintenance.
Exhibit commitment to company Quality objectives through full utilization of Quality Management Systems, and by evaluating project related
processes and making necessary changes, by using client inputs to make improvements, and meeting and exceeding stakeholder and customer
expectations.
Maintain all relevant documentation, records, and certifications; and develop operational, production and program reports including project close-
out reports for clients.
Other Duties as assigned.
Skills:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Computer software skills including MS Office Suite (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access).
Knowledge of industrial safety cultures and safety minded.
Ability to read blueprints, engineers’ drawings, and
architectural renderings of facility, plant, and equipment.
Knowledge of tools used in scope of work.
Ability to work independently and able to be self-motivated.
Ability to communicate with other crafts and operators.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Current Level 2 certifications for RT 2 are required as per SNT-TC-1A.
A valid driver’s license with no restrictions
Valid 40-hour radiation safety
Current IRRSP or State Radiographers Certification
Pass a Background Check and Drug Screen

Preferred Qualifications:
Current Level 2 certifications and/or in UT, MT & PT is preferred.
Current ASNT Level 2 certifications for RT utilizing and interpreting computed and digital radiography (CR) is preferred.
Work Environment:
Work extended hours in sub-zero temperatures. Daily overtime will be required.

MOBILITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses computers on a daily basis. He/she is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Climb stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolding up to 100 feet multiple times per day, utilizing three points of contact.
Be able to safely carry up to 65 pounds with one hand. Must be able to climb stairs/scaffolding/ladder while holding handrail with opposite hand.
Be able to work at heights up to 100 feet.
Be able to work in a crouched position for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 55 pounds while in the crouched position.
Be able to lift up to 65 pounds with a rope using hand-over-hand technique.
Be able to work in confined spaced and repetitively bend and/or twist through small entryways.
Be able to carry and effectively manipulate a twelve-to-sixteen-foot ladder.
Be able to occasionally lift up to 65 pounds to shoulder level.
Be able to walk, climb on and maneuver on or around piping, piping supports and while working in a crouched position.
Must have dexterity to manipulate camera source cranks.
Arm strength push/pull up to 75 pounds; leg strength, up to 175 pounds.

HEARING: The employee frequently is required to talk or hear while answering phones, working with customers, clients, supervisors, etc.

VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform the above listed tasks in a safe manner. Ability to see and complete work on a personal computer and read color coded writing on equipment forms, etc.
