Failure Analyst

Industry leader in the testing industry has an urgent need for an Failure Analyst at our Houston Texas location. The ideal candidate must have a BS degree in Metallurgy or Metallurgical Engineering, (BS in non-metallurgical/material science with advanced degree in metallurgy/materials science also accepted), with a minimum of five (5) years experience in metals engineering, three of which must have failure analysis emphasis. Experience with fracture mechanics and corrosion analysis strongly considered.. Strong experience with welding processes and working knowledge of SEM operations a valuable plus. Proven ability to work with a team under time restrictions required. Experience in development of customer contacts and relations crucial. Strong consideration given to individuals with a visible presence as a member in a Professional Society, e.g. ASM, NACE, AWS, TMS, ASME, etc.
