NDT Level 2 Technicians

Shifts:
2nd Shift: Mon – Thur 9pm– 712am
Pay rate: (34.44/hr )

4th Shift: Fri – Sun 7am – 712pm
Pay rate: (38.27/hr )

5th Shift: Fri – Sun 7pm – 712am
Pay rate: ($38.27/hr) + $1 dollar



Must haves:
Need NAS 410 cert and need to be Level 2 NDT. Digital radiography training if not already held will be 400-hour requirement of seat time ~ about 3 months of training
Interview process: Don will assess paperwork, onsite or teams interview 1 round about an hour
F/U process? Weekly call

Job Duties
• Successfully complete formal training and OJT experience to meet NAS 410 level 2 certification.
• Complete RT Level II Training Tollgates as listed in training plan
• Perform digital radiography and computed tomography inspections of aircraft engine turbine airfoils in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Evaluate images and interpret test findings in accordance with manufacturing blueprints, process specifications and work instructions
• Accurately document test findings and archive historical records
• Effectively communicate information and perform duties in a teaming environment
• Perform daily equipment set-up procedures and quality checks
• Complete all assigned continued education and training
• Actively participate in Tier V meetings and other cell specific tasks
• Pass annual proficiency assessment


Qualifications
• Demonstrate the ability to apply geometric, trigonometric, and algebraic relationships by completing position assessment evaluation
• Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and production plans
• Possess the skills and knowledge to setup and calibrate equipment, conduct tests, interpret, evaluate, and document findings without supervision
• Demonstrate basic computer skills
• Demonstrated cross functional teamwork skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass certification eye exam
• Must be willing to travel out of town for training
• Must be willing to train on first shift for up to one year
• Must have 12 months of service
• No Active Written Warnings
• Employees from shifts different than the posting can apply for these postings that require additional qualifications

Desired Qualifications
• Prior radiography formal education and/or inspection experience

• The job will be offered to the most senior employee who demonstrate proficiency as defined in the posting (e.g., ability to pass proficiency tests, practical exam, and interview).
• The successful candidate will remain at their current role pay rate until successful completion of full certification in this program.
• Employees who move to these jobs will be required to remain in the role, on the sift for which they were hired, for at least two years once fully certified, given the amount of time that is required for training.
• Employees who move to these jobs who do not meet training milestones and training test requirements during that training period and/or achieve initial certification within six months will be removed from the job and will return to a line following the normal Job Posting process.
