We are seeking highly qualified Level II NDT Inspectors with MT, PT, and VT certifications for a long-term contract opportunity in Virginia.
Position Summary
The NDT Inspector will perform Visual (VT), Magnetic Particle (MT), and Penetrant (PT) inspections on structural welds in a shop environment. The position requires physical activity, including climbing, crawling, and minor grinding to support inspection relevance checks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform VT, MT, and PT inspections on structural welds in accordance with approved procedures and standards
- Access confined spaces, climb ladders, and conduct inspections at heights
- Perform minor grinding as required for relevance checks
- Operate, maintain, and care for NDT equipment
- Must be able to accurately record, evaluate, and report inspection results
- Follow all safety requirements and ensure proper use of PPE
Qualifications & Requirements
- ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II certifications
- Documented Level II certification in VT, PT, and MT.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Experience in the shipbuilding industry preferred
