National Inspection & Consultants (NIC), an Element Company, is seeking an experienced NDT Level II RT Technician with proven experience shooting castings for a short-term project in Ohio. Candidates must be certified in accordance with NAS-410 and able to provide supporting documentation.
Job Duties:
1. Perform Radiographic Testing (RT) on castings in accordance with approved procedures, customer requirements, and applicable codes
2. Set up and conduct radiographic exposures, including proper handling of radioactive sources
3. Interpret radiographs to evaluate casting quality and identify discontinuities
4. Accurately document and report inspection results
5. Comply with radiation safety rules and all site-specific safety requirements
6. Maintain and properly care for RT equipment and related documentation
Requirements:
1. Current RT Level II certification (NAS-410 Preferred)
2. Demonstrated experience radiographing castings
Ability to provide the following documentation:
1. RT classroom training hours
2. RT on-the-job experience (OJT) hours
Strong knowledge of RT techniques and film interpretation - Must also have the ability to work independently in a production or inspection environment
ITAR Requirement:
U.S. Citizenship is required. This position involves access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Only U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR may be considered.
